Moonlight
On a certain night some two hundred years ago,
a blind girl was gliding her fingersacross the ivories in the suburbs of Vienna .
The lamenting melody flowed out of the cottage
and touched Beethoven, who was strolling in the moonlight ,
thus the immortal Piano Sonata No. 14 was inspired.
For decades, Beethoven was plagued by hearing loss.
Today, his music has found a remarkable interpreter in a visually-impaired Chinese pianist.
Next, in the ¡°Moonlight¡± Sonata,
Jin Yuanhui will tell us about his yearnings in the darkness and his dreams for a glimpse of light.
